Welcome to OnePanDad.com — Dinner Made Simple

Hello! I’m glad you found OnePanDad.com. I’ve been through many long days at work and then come home to find a huge pile of dirty dishes in my sink. At those times, I’ve said to myself “What a hassle it is to make dinner!” I created this website with those feelings in mind. When you’re tired, hungry, and feeling defeated by your day, but want a good meal without all the extra hassle of cleaning up after you cook, that’s what I built this website for. I will provide you with simple and quick ways to create delicious meals using real ingredients. What’s even better than that? All you’ll ever need to clean after cooking is just one pan. Take a seat, take a breath, and let us help you see how making dinner can actually be fun.

But Why One Pan Dad?

OnePanDad.com was created based upon one very basic concept: the greatest meals can be prepared using minimal amounts of time, effort, equipment (i.e. pans), and stress. Instead of having multiple steps involved, complicated techniques, or a ton of pots/pans to clean up afterwards; the only thing required is one pan, a bit of imagination, and a dad who simply wants to feed his family without too much hassle. My reason for starting OnePanDad.com was to help re-establish a sense of possibility when it comes to preparing meals. With work, kids, etc., there's already enough to worry about on a daily basis; preparing a meal shouldn't add to the list of worries.

Through the years, I’ve discovered that some of the tastiest meals are those which are kept simple. Using only one pan requires you to concentrate on flavor profiles, balancing flavors/textures and developing proper cooking methods. The payoff? Less cleanup and more time spent with the people you’re preparing meals for. You’ll also discover a variety of quick/easy/practical recipes which utilize fresh, natural ingredients. There are no twenty-step instructions.

No Strange Tools

No "prepare this homemade stock beforehand" garbage.

Every dish I’ve developed has been based on what we call “real life,” and by real life I mean those times when you’re pressed for time but your stomach says otherwise. The dishes I develop will fit into an everyday schedule from parents trying to feed their children after they get home from school to anyone wanting to cook a healthy meal at home, but doesn’t have the luxury of spending a couple of hours in the kitchen preparing it. My focus when developing each dish is making sure it is easy to prepare; uses readily available ingredients; and tastes like something you would have had as a child. In short, my overall objective is always to help people realize that cooking is possible, satisfying, and flavorful no matter how hectic your day may be.
